The article is devoted to the reasons for the fall of the Weimar Republic in the context of analyzing the concept of so-called youth budge as the reason for the emergence of social protest. Social protest and confrontation in German society of the 1920s-1930s played a key role in changing the political development of Germany and the rise to power of the Nazis, which forms the relevance of the analysis of the concept. On the base of analysis of the electoral statistics of the late Weimar Republic the author concludes that the «youth budge» gave peculiarities to the political struggle and served as one of the factors in the victory of the right-wing radical party. Nevertheless, it could not play a decisive role, and cannot be considered as the reason for the peak of social tension in Germany in the early 1930s and the rise the NSDAP to power.
