The 100 anniversary of expert and criminalistic service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation: history milestones

Introduction: in the article the history of Expert and Criminalistic Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation is considered. A scientific way of the famous criminalists who‘ve made a valuable contribution to criminalistics and to practical activities of law enforcement agencies concerning disclosure, investigation and prevention of crimes is considered. Materials and methods: the general dialectic method of scientific knowledge having a universal character, also methods of logical deduction, induction, historical, cognitive methods and techniques of observation, comparison, analysis, generalization and description formed the methodological basis of the research. Results: allowed to consider a historical way of development of Expert and Criminalistic Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, to light the most significant writings of great scientists-criminalists. Summary and conclusions: the reviewed development history of the expert service allows you to make sure once again that the staff of expert divisions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation plays an important role in disclosure and investigation of crimes, and, certainly, it is difficult to overestimate their role and value in holding the specified actions.
