The article considers the issue of the creation of BS - 3 cannons in the Central Command and combat use at the final stage of the Great Patriotic War. This artillery system was created in 1943 at the Central Artillery Design Bureau under the leadership of V. G. Grabin in Kaliningrad near Moscow (Since 1996 - Korolev, Moscow region) and was the most powerful anti-tank weapon of the Red Army in the Great Patriotic War
