Absenteeism as a model of political behavior

The paper studies various types of citizens political activities related to political participation. The article describes the existing factors affecting political behavior and political participation, and presents an analysis of the various theories and models of application in practice of these concepts. Also, a theoretical review of foreign and domestic sources on the phenomenon of absenteeism as a form of immobile political participation and its spread in countries with a democratic state system, describes the main approaches to the definition of the concept. The reasons of decrease of electoral activity in the Russian realities are considered and on their basis recommendations on its increase are made. As part of the Russian absenteeism focuses on the youth environment and raises the issue of stimulation of legal activity through legal education, legal culture and legal consciousness.
