Adaptation of tools to increase the economic security of small enterprises in conditions of unstable external environment

The development of small business is an indicator of the quality of economic institu-tions, such as the development of competition, the market, the protection of propertyrights. In most developed countries, the economic security of the state relies, amongother things, on the developed small business. In Russia, the law “On State Supportof Small Business” in the Russian Federation determines measures to stimulate thedevelopment of small businesses in all areas of the national economy and formulatesthe basic principles of economically sound functioning of enterprises. The articleconsiders the problems of small business development in Russia from the point ofview of ensuring its economic security and the possibility of its adaptation to thechanging conditions of the external environment. This aspect is based on ensuringthe economic security of the enterprise by forming valuation categories that takeinto account the specific activities of the OOO Kholod». The tools for assessing theeconomic security of small businesses in terms of ensuring competitiveness areproposed.
