The need to provide additional control over the environmental component of the transport industry has been raised. The main emissions from motor transport are highlighted according to the results of statistics of the Russian Federation. The most effective solution to the problem has been determined - emission limits have been indicated when monitoring a vehicle with an on-board diagnostic system - an element of the on-board information and control system. Calculations of emissions from an engine with regeneration are given, and a schematic representation of the parameters is made. An algorithm is proposed for collecting and processing information received by the on-board diagnostic system, transmitting information to the general environmental control management system in real time with the possibility of forecasting.
