Africa in the poetry of Antonin Ladinsky

The article considers the ways of constructing a geocultural image, in particular the image of Africa, in works by the poet of the Russian emigration Antonin Ladinsky. It is revealed that such poetic devices as antithesis and oxymoron are the structure-forming elements in the construction of Africa's image. Motifs of the heat and cold, intertextual ties, as well as biblical allusions are also essential. The article traces how the poetics of the cinema is incorporated into Ladinsky's texts.
