The article reveals the essence of the notions agonality, agon, oruzhnost. It is proposed to see in the agonality the striving of entity to its own self-assertion, which is manifested in the clash of forces, in updating oruzhnost of entity, which potentially lies in corporality. Four ontological reasons of agonality have been identified.
