Agrarian reforms of the thaw period of 1953-1964: to posing the question

This publication is an attempt to analyze the agrarian reforms of the thaw period of 1953-1964, their role and place in Russian history. The term reform is regarded as a way to transform society within existing foundations and an alternative to revolution. The author attempts to identify the causes of the transformations, their methods, the role of N.S. Khrushchev, the reaction of society. Political leadership and the struggle for power are singled out as an important factor in the development of Soviet society in this period.
