The agricultural sector as a priority area of Azerbaijan's economic development

Considering the pace and features of socio-economic development, it should be noted that, as in every country, the agricultural sector in Azerbaijan is of particular importance in raising the socio-economic level of the country's population and forming an overall picture of development. This sector plays an undeniable special role in ensuring sustainable economic development of our country, creating new jobs and ensuring food security. This study examines the strategic role of the agricultural sector in the socio-economic life of Azerbaijan. Thus, in recent years, the current state of agricultural production, the dynamics of production and sales of products, existing structural and organizational, technological and institutional problems have been considered here, and in accordance with this, recommendations have been formulated for long-term agricultural policy to achieve strategic goals.
