Aggression and suicidal behavior of adolescents in various conditions of socialization

The urgency and various hypotheses about the nature and causes of destructive forms of behavior (hetero- and autoaggression, suicidal and addictive behavior) are grounded and presented. The aim of the study was to analyze the destructive behavior of adolescents in different social conditions (the parents' family, educational institutions, peers, an educational colony for juvenile offenders). Materials and methods. Four groups of adolescents were examined: 1 - serving sentences in educational colonies (n = 265); 2 - located in the regional camp "Sibextrom" (n = 113); 3 - students of vocational schools and lyceums (114); 4 - students of general secondary schools (1032). Psychodiagnostics of destructive manifestations, including aggressive and autoaggressive tendencies, was carried out using the Bassa-Darka questionnaire (Buss A.H., Durkee A., 1957). Results. Socio-psychological parameters of destructive behavior in 265 male and female adolescents aged between 14 and 18 (mean age 17.08±0.8 years) with drug and alcohol addiction under different socialization conditions, including in penitentiary environment with the serving of punishment in educational colonies are analyzed. Aggressiveness of adolescents in the conditions of the penitentiary system is transformed from open forms of aggression into passive (indirect aggression, irritability, guilt and hostility).
