Central Tver region experiencing constant lack of organic matter. At the same time, the accumulation of large-tonnage organic waste treatment facilities in the form of sewage sludge (OSV), which can be used as organic fertilizer for crops. The use of OSV on fertilizers will save a considerable amount of mineral fertilizers, would reduce the deficit of humus. Making OSV in doses not exceeding 60 t/ha, does not improve the content of heavy metals in the soil. The maximum yield of tubers on turf loamy sand soil received amid the OSV dose 60 t/ha and OSV mixture with mineral fertilizers. While background doses of OSV doses 20-60 t/ha under potatoes, no excessive accumulation of heavy metals in the tubers.
