Academician V.N.Obraztsov - director of the first base of the USSR Academy of Sciences, established in the autonomous republics of the Russian Federation

On the eve of the 300th anniversary of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the most important events in the history of the Research Base of the USSR Academy of Sciences in the Komi ASSR are shown, the activities of the Director of the Base, Academician V.N. Obraztsov in 1944 - 1948 are evaluated. The study was carried out on documents, memoirs, photographs, and periodical publications preserved in archives in the Komi ASSR. The Base of the USSR Academy of Sciences in the Komi ASSR was the rst among the autonomous republics of the Russian Federation. According to Academician V.N. Obraztsov, its experience was supposed to facilitate the development of new academic institutions throughout the USSR. Objectively, during these years, the authority of the academic Base in the life of the Komi ASSR was signi cantly increased.
