Accumulation of heavy metals in light chestnut and alluvial soils in Volgograd-Volzhskiy agglomeration

This article provides information about experimental studies and analysis of content of gross and mobile forms of heavy metals (HM) (vanadium, strontium, cobalt, nickel, copper, chromium, arsenic, zinc and lead) in light chestnut soils of various granulometric composition and alluvial soils in Volgograd-Volzhskiy agglomeration. The main factor of accumulation the HM is technogenesis, that often overrides the influence of the natural factors of soil formation and often does not correlate with soil properties, but depends on the degree of anthropogenic load and chemical properties of elements.
