Activity as a feature of communicative behaviour on English-speaking internet-forums

The paper focuses on communicant’s activity as the most vital feature of his communicative behaviour. The methodological platform of the research is formed by the autopoiesis theory which allows to model communication as adaptive interaction between the living system (communicant) and its niche. When constructing such a model the researcher focuses on the transformation of the living system, determined by various adaptive mechanisms, rather than communication as it is viewed from outside. This approach is further supported by the analysis of internet-forums.
