Active operations of a commercial bank: problems and directions of development

This study reveals the key theoretical aspects of the active operations of commercial banks, and also examines the problems, trends, and development challenges in this area. The relevance of the work is to study the actual problems of active operations of commercial banks. Active operations include lending, asset management, and investments. These components of active operations are the basis of a commercial bank’s activities and determine its reliability and competitiveness in the banking sector. That is why it is important to identify the problems and prospects for the development of active operations for commercial banks. This study will analyze the official accounts of active operations of a commercial bank using the example of JSC Rosselkhozbank, one of the key players in the Russian financial market, as well as official data from the Central Bank of the Russian Federation. Based on the analyzed data, assumptions are made about solving the current problems of commercial banks and areas of development.
