Actualization of the sociocultural competence phenomenon in terms of globalization

This article focuses on the analysis of the sociocultural competence conception. It explains the significance of its development in the context of globalization and integration. The author reviews Russian and foreign experience in the introduction of the “sociocultural competence” term and its ratification in the normative educational acts of the Russian Federation. The necessity for students’ sociocultural competence formation has been proven in the paper.
