Actualization of taxis meanings in German

This article deals with the issue of updating the taxis meanings of simultaneity and non-simultaneity in the German language. The research material is polypropositive statements based on various polypredicative and monopredicative complicated constructions. Particular attention is paid to the consideration of the actualization of primary taxis and secondary taxis meanings of simultaneity, precedence and posteriority in statements with prepositional deverbatives. In the considered statements of the primary type with monotaxis prepositions of temporal semantics während, vor, bis/bis zu, nach and seit, the primary taxis meanings of simultaneity, precedence and posteriority are actualized. In statements of the secondary subtype with polytaxis and monotaxis prepositions of circumstantial (modal, instrumental, medial, causal, conditional, concessive, consequential, final) semantics in, bei, mit, unter, durch, vor, aus, wegen, aufgrund, dank, trotz, ungeachtet, infolge, zu, für, zwecks, per, mittels various secondary type meanings of simultaneity are actualized. Polytaxis and monotaxis prepositions act as markers of primary taxis and secondary taxis meanings of simultaneity and non-simultaneity. Prepositional deverbatives act as primary taxis actualizers of simultaneity, precedence and posteriority, as well as various secondary taxis actualizers of simultaneity (modal taxis, instrumental taxis, etc).
