The current condition of political consciousness of the Russian citizens: heterogeneity vs homogeneity?

Political consciousness of the modern Russian society is characterized by two interrelated trends and features of the evolution: heterogeneity and homogeneity. The ideological and political orientations of the Russians are extremely vague and diffuse. At the same time, there are prospects of ideological symbiosis, which, apparently, would mitigate the split in political consciousness, understood as a lack of consensus about basic values.
