The article offers an analysis of modern ideas about the causes of insufficient formation of auditory-speech memory in preschool children, and analyzes the relationship of speech disorders in motor alalia with underdevelopment of auditory-speech memory. The relevance of corrective work on the development of auditory-speech memory in the senior preschool period is indicated.
