The relevance of introducing the management innovations during urban planning in municipalities

The article examines the range of problems related to the urban planning management in municipalities. It is proposed to find the research areas that will provide an integrated system for effective management of urban development based on an innovative approach. The key problems of the municipal government include the inadequate resources for development, in particular, small budget, extra-budgetary deficit, shortage of qualified personnel and leverage over other subjects of urban planning as well as lack of high-quality statistics and qualitative urban planning and urban regulatory documents. To improve the efficiency of managerial decisions, it is proposed to use the tools of municipal and private partnership and rational planning, develop a strategy for a practice-oriented approach to construction personnel training. Besides, it is necessary to develop local statistical techniques and extra options and reconsider the role of managerial decisions in the urban development sector.
