Current aspects of the methodological approach to assessing the level of economic security of a bank in the context of digitalization

The widespread use of digital technologies has influenced the conditions for interaction between banking participants. On the one hand, digitalization is directly related to the introduction of new technological solutions in banks, but it is worth understanding its impact on other areas of activity. Digital transformation involves the structure of the organization, work with the client base, and the corporate culture of the bank. The effective activity of banking structures in the digital economy depends on the level of security of the interaction environment between the participants of the banking system since the use of new technologies is associated with the emergence of additional risks. The article presents the distinctive features of technological processes of “digitalization”, “informatization” in banking, as well as remote banking. The features of the negative scenario of “digital transformation” of a commercial Bank are highlighted. Topical aspects of the methodological approach to assessing the level of economic security of a Bank in the context of digitalization are formulated. The main functions of economic security of a commercial bank and a structure consisting of indicators of economic dependence, the efficiency of activity, and development are considered. It is proposed to use the values of mandatory standards, leading indicators and “alarm indicators” as indicators for assessing the security level of a commercial bank in the context of digitalization.
