Actual information needs of subjects of professional tourist activity

The relevance of the issues addressed in the article is due to significant changes in the field of Russian tourism related to the need to introduce new products, tourist services technologies, innovative administrative and managerial decisions, etc. Many of the subjects of professional tourism activities in the situation of tourist needs transformation and an increase in the share of self-organized tourists should be significant way to upgrade, find your niche. Based on the analysis of theoretical sources, materials of expert interviews, cases of knowledge management in the field of tourism, as well as cases characterizing the participation of libraries in the development of domestic tourism, it is concluded that such a direction of the library is promising as meeting the current information needs of professional subjects of professional tourism activities. The methodological vector of research is primarily associated with the idea of the specific nature of information needs. The types of innovations of “niche tourism” are systematized in the article, and forms of implementation of the thematic interactive information and communication environment in libraries are proposed. The article may be of interest to the heads and employees of libraries, students and graduate students of specialized areas of training.
