Current research on Muslim military governance in Russia: a historiographic review

The subject of this research is the analysis of the problems of scientific research devoted to the institute of Muslim military clergy in Russia in order to identify tendentious trends and “white spots” in the history of the topic under study. In the framework of this article, the author gives the most complete list of scientific studies on the issues mentioned, and classifies them in chronological order of the described events. The most relevant areas in the study of topics characteristic of a particular period are noted.
