The topical issues of the social insurance fund activity of the Russian Federation

The article deals with the issues of availability of compulsory social insurance as an essential tool for implementation of the state social policy, a research subject and an object of constant attention of the authorities. It is emphasized, that among all types of the compulsory social security, the short-term disability insurance and the maternity insurance play an important role in salary reimbursement during the period of temporary disability and reinforces the rise in births and improvement of demographic rates. The author believes that transition to the new system of allowance payment is designed to reduce the chances of insurance fraud and eliminate non-payment of allowances.
