Current issues of personal information security for police officers

The article defines the concept of personal information security for law enforcement officers, presents the main threats to personal information security for law enforcement officers, and provides some recommendations for personal information security for law enforcement officers: when working with computers and mobile devices; when communicating online; in the field of personal data protection; in the field of physical security of digital media and homes; in the field of information security for the family members of law enforcement officers; and when a device is lost. It is concluded that the personal information security of an internal affairs officer is one of the key components of the overall security of law enforcement officers, given the high level of risk associated with their professional activities. This is a combination of digital hygiene, caution, proper interaction with technological devices, and reasonable restrictions on public visibility on the Internet.
