Actual problems of the initial stage of investigation of road traffic crimes committed in conditions of non-obviousness

The article discusses the features of the investigation of traffic crimes committed by unidentified persons. The investigative situations that develop at the initial stage of the investigation of an accident in conditions of non-obviousness are listed. The examples of judicial and investigative practice show ways to counteract the investigation by guilty persons. Attention is focused on situations when the guilty person refuses to drive a vehicle at the time of the incident, referring to another participant in a traffic accident, and cases where all participants in the incident died. The main problems faced by investigators during the investigation of this type of crimes, which are the causes of low detection, are disclosed. The algorithm of the investigator's main actions at the stage of checking the crime report, including at the scene of the incident in conditions of non-obviousness, is proposed.
