The relevant issues of application of such a preventive punishment as a bail

The article considers topical issues of selection such a preventive measure as a bail, the main advantages of bails over other measures of restraint. The author considers the provisions that would allow more frequent application of the aforesaid preventive measure in practice. Also, the author expresses an opinion on improving of the criminal procedural legislation, including the introduction of provisions in the Criminal Procedure Code, which would allow to return the deposit at the request of an accused in cases when the need arises.
