Actual problems of acquiring the status of a lawyer in the Russian Federation

The Institute of Advocacy is certainly recognized as one of the main ones in the framework of the implementation and promotion of the protection of the rights of citizens and legal entities. Due to the importance of this institution, the requirements for the status of a lawyer are also extensive and strict, which in turn creates certain problems in acquiring it. The article reveals the main provisions of the legislation regulating the status of a lawyer, and also discusses the problems that currently exist when acquiring the status of a lawyer. The result of the analysis is the development of ways of possible improvement of the legislative framework, which will overcome the existing legal problems that hinder the full implementation of the mechanism for the protection of lawyers and the development of the institute of advocacy as a whole.
