The article is devoted to topical problems of development of the Russian financial market. There is an analysis of the current state of the financial market of the country. Considered indices of global competitiveness, and indices of financial development of countries. Also analyzed problems in the development of the financial market and suggests ways to address them. The article also reviewed changes in stock market of Russia on the example of the exchange of the RTS index.
