Current issues of criminal responsibility legal entities

Introduction: The article deals with topical issues related to the validity of including the Institute of criminal liability of legal entities in the system of Russian criminal legislation. The issue of identifying specific legal entities that could become subjects of criminal liability in the event of a relevant legislative decision is considered as a key breakdown. Materials and methods: the normative basis of the research is formed by the Constitution of the Russian Federation and criminal legislation. The methodological basis of the research was the General dialectical method of scientific knowledge, which has a universal character, as well as methods of logical deduction, induction, cognitive methods and techniques of comparison, analysis, generalization and description. Results of the study: allowed to clarify certain provisions concerning the definition of the concepts "subject of crime" and "subject of criminal responsibility", to identify the category of legal entities that should be subject to criminal liability. Findings and conclusions: the definition of the concept of "criminal liability of legal entities" is formulated, the classification of subjects of criminal liability from among legal entities is developed, taking into account modern trends, as well as comparative legal research.
