Current issues in the sphere of protecting the victims of victims of crimes under the Russian legislation

The protection of human and citizen’s rights and freedoms is a priority task of any rule-of-law state. In the framework of this article, the authors attempted to analyze international and national legal frameworks concerning the protection of victims of crime, as well as to identify debatable issues in this area. Proposals have been made to improve the system of existing legislation.
