Alexander Tairov: from theoretical perspectives to artistic practice

The article discusses and explores the creative principles of the Director A. Y. Tairov, who expressed primarily in his artistic practice. «Neorealism» of the Director and theorist had also some influence on the development of theatrical art in the future. The justification of aesthetic views of the artist can be traced in a clear four periods of his work, which gives the right to talk about his unique direction in art.
