Spacecraft observation scheduling: a redirecting algorithm for the ground-based measuring instrument

It is necessary to take into account the rotation speed of the rotary system, so as to reduce the redirecting time and preserve the quality of the received information to form spacecraft observation schedule. This paper proposes a quasioptimal algorithm to modify the schedule, formed under the assumption of instantaneous redirecting between satellites to work with a real instrument. The experiment demonstrates that the proposed algorithm allows the schedule to be 85% informative relative to the plan for instantaneous redirecting using a rotary system with the maximum speed of 5 deg/s and an acceleration of 1 deg/s2.
