The concept of “best available techniques (BAT)” implies the most effective and advanced methods and practices applied in the relevant industrial sectors under economically and technically justified conditions to reduce emissions and environmental impact. The article presents an algorithm for the BAT implementation, which aims to increase the resource and environmental efficiency of production in various industrial sectors. The use of BAT not only strengthens the position of individual industries but also has a positive impact on key socio-economic indicators of the Russian economy as a whole. Among the positive effects of the implementation of BAT, it is possible to highlight the attraction of Russian companies to perform construction and installation works, to boost employee skills and, ultimately, increase the overall economic efficiency of the economy. The transition to the principles of BAT is an important step towards achieving both national and global goals in the field of environmental safety and sustainable development.
