The article considers the features of high-current thyristor rectifiers of synchronous generators self-excitation systems at parallel gates faults. Shows the possible functional limitations and shortcomings in their work at short-circuits in the power system. The algorithms of high-current thyristor rectifiers control that extend the functionality of the self-excitation systems at the faults of parallel gates and providing the forcing mode at synchronous generator external short-circuits are proposed.
