Alkaloids Berberis xy. Study of the structure of a new alkaloid

Bargustanin (I), which belongs to a new type of isoquinoline alkaloids, was isolated from the phenolic part of the sum of alkaloids in the roots of B.vulgaris L. Its structure has been established by chemical and spectral methods.
