Altagac national park as a key ornitological area

159 species of birds were recorded on the territory of the Altagac National Park. We identified four groups of species: sedentary - 16, wintering - 5, nesting - 58 and migratory (occurring during the spring-autumn migration) - 80. 10 of the registered species are included in the International Red List, 32 are in the Red Data Book of Azerbaijan. Park belongs to Key Ornithological territories A1. The main threats to the ecosystem of the area are the recreation, including the the tourism infrastructure forest fires and disturbance factors, as well as grazing and poaching.
