American conservative think-tanks as generators of Trumpist agenda

The research subject of the present study are expert-analytical centers in the United States, known as “think tanks”. The aim of the study is to identify the main conservative “think tanks” in the United States that formulated the ideology of Trumpism, as well as to assess the degree of their influence on the policy of D. Trump. The object of the study is the US political discourse in 2016-2020. The authors analyze the phenomenon of “think tanks”, identify and examine the main conservative “think tanks” - the drivers of Trumpism. The main conclusions of the study are presented in the form of the thesis that a number of conservative “think tanks” of the United States, including a new type of operational-applied analytical structures like Breitbart, have helped to formulate the key narratives of D. Trump's political agenda as alternative, internalist, paternalistic and directed against the Washington Establishment. Scientific novelty of the article is the isolation and analysis of the main pro-Trumpist “think tanks” of the United States and the concepts they develop, along with the introduction of corresponding original sources and relevant empirical cases into scientific circulation.
