“Amnesty” of the illegitimacy in the Russian empire (revisited the role of the law dated June 3, 1942 “ concerning adoptions of regulations aimed to improve status of the illegitimate children”)

The article carries out a historic and legal research of the reform aimed to improve the status of the illegitimate children in the Russian Empire in the early 20 th century. The author considers public reaction on the undertaken reforms and discusses their main consequences and impact on the transformation of the public attitude to the illegitimate child’s status in the family and society.
