Analytical synthesis of control laws for motion in horizontal plane of a winged spacecraft within coverage zone of a glide path beacon

The problem of analytical synthesis of stabilization laws for crossrange motion within coverage zone of a glide path beacon is solved for the sixth-order linearized system of the winged spacecraft crossrange motion model, which is a multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) system. Obtaining analytical expressions for the feedback coefficients matrix is based on decomposition method of modal synthesis. The paper presents mathematical simulation results for winged spacecraft crossrange control within coverage zone of a glide path beacon using the obtained analytical control law.
