In the context of the digital transformation of the national economy, a necessary condition for sustainable economic growth is innovation. Monitoring the processes of interaction between the state, science and business in the framework of the development of national innovation ecosystems is an urgent area of modern scientific research. Analysis of the best foreign experience and the best Russian practices in the field of measuring innovation activity showed a limited area of their application to solving the problem of forming an information base for constructing evaluation models of the effectiveness of innovative interaction as a factor of economic growth. The study made it possible to identify the main factors affecting the rate of diffusion of innovations. An analysis of the territorial differentiation of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation by key indicators of innovation activity revealed the important role of state support in the field of innovation. The research has scientific novelty, which consists in the development of theoretical and methodological approaches to assessing the effectiveness of innovative interaction in the digital economy. The results obtained form scientific information and analytical support, contributing to an increase in the efficiency of decisions made by public authorities in the field of support and development of innovative activities, taking into account the peculiarities of the development of socio-economic systems of various levels - global, national, regional, etc.
