Analytical description of spark generation in ignition system of piston gasoline engines

Бесплатный доступ

Piston internal combustion engines (ICE) are currently one of the main energy sources of automotive equipment widely used in agricultural production. Diesel, gaseous fuel, as well as gasoline are used as combustible material during ICE operation. In the total structure of fuels used, the share of gasoline occupies a significant part. Therefore, the modernization of gasoline piston engine systems is relevant. The creation of innovative ignition systems contributes a lot to improving the functioning of power units. An analytical description of the spark formation process in the ignition system of a reciprocating gasoline internal combustion engine, its mathematical modeling, as well as a study of the behavior of the resulting model and its adequacy are performed. The result of the conducted research is to obtain mathematical models, as well as experimental data, which, in turn, may be in demand when computer designing of promising internal combustion engines, as well as for monitoring, including control of the combustion processes of the fuel-air mixture in them.
