Analysis of the system administrator's activities using the Pareto principle

The applicability of the Pareto principle for everyday tasks of the system administrator is considered. An increase in efficiency and resource intensity with a decrease in the efficiency and frequency of application of control actions was revealed. A practical example shows the feasibility of a balanced selection of control actions with the expected effectiveness depending on the specific situation.
