Analysis of the dynamics and structure of retail trade in the Kyrgyz Republic

This article examines the dynamics and structure of retail trade in the Kyrgyz Republic for 2019-2023. The volume of retail trade turnover increased by 14.5% compared to the previous year, reaching 772 billion soms, which is 18.9% higher than the level of 2019. The main attention is paid to the distribution of turnover between organized and unorganized trade, where the share of organized trade was 65%. Changes in the structure of sales of food and non-food products, as well as regional characteristics, are also analyzed. The study's findings highlight the sector's sustained growth and its importance to the country's economy and recommendations were given for the development of retail trade in the Kyrgyz Republic.
