The analysis of the transport construction development in Russia in 1928-2012

The paper analyses the data of the state and alternative statistics on the transport construction for the period of 1928-2012, as well as presents the data of the statistical analysis undertaken by the author. The article explains the special role of the transport infrastructure projects implementation in the economic development of the USSR. It is proved that despite the considerable length of railways and roads, today the level of road length per 1000 inhabitants in Russia is far from sufficient.
