Informal employment in Uzbekistan and analysis of factors affecting informal employment

The article identifies key features of informal employment based on the study of conceptual approaches. The study substantiates the hidden nature of informal employment, the absence of clear definition boundaries, reliable data and clear criteria for “informality”, which create certain difficulties in assessing its status and degree. To identify the main factors affecting to the level of informal employment in the regions of the Republic of Uzbekistan, an assessment was made of the correlation between the level of socio-economic development of the regions and the level of informal employment based on the level of informal employment in the regions.
