Analysis of factors affecting the spread of sound waves in conductors when identifying conductors by acoustic signal

Бесплатный доступ

The device for identifying wires, cables and other linear objects using an acoustic signal allows identifying a wire, cable or a separate core in them, without removing the insulation and without disconnecting them from the network. The identification method using an acoustic signal is implemented without the use of traditional marking means and “dialing”. The use of the device increases the security of work on the identification of wires and cables, or their lived during the operation of electrical wiring, since the device allows identification without removing the insulation. In addition, the reduction of damage from electrical equipment downtime is achieved due to the fact that identification does not require disconnecting the identified wire (cable) from the network and reduces the cost of operating internal electrical wiring. In conductors, sound waves are a combination of transverse and longitudinal waves. Features of the propagation of sound waves in conductors are determined by the elastic properties of the materials from which the conductor is made, as well as by the method of wiring installation. When designing acoustic devices and analyzing acoustic processes in these areas, many factors must be taken into account that affect the propagation of acoustic waves in a solid. The article discusses the factors influencing the propagation of acoustic waves in conductors in the identification of wires, cables and other linear objects using an acoustic signal.
