Modern business development trends require companies to perform work quickly while maintaining proper quality. As practice shows, most of the work, in particular the construction of nuclear power plants, occurs with a shift in schedules, which entails additional costs in the design and construction process. One of the main reasons for the shift in work schedules is the incorrectly structured interaction between the stakeholders of the project. This reason entails a huge number of factors due to which there is a shift in the timing of the construction of nuclear power plants. Therefore, in order to achieve the goals set for the company, it is necessary to take into account the interests of a wide range of stakeholders, which can have a significant positive or negative impact on the company’s activities. This is necessary, first of all, to maintain a competitive advantage in the global market. To improve the efficiency of interaction with stakeholders within the Engineering Division of Rosatom State Corporation, it is proposed to use agent-based modeling of stakeholder interaction in the design and construction of nuclear power plants. This will make it possible to systematize approaches to identifying the reasons for the shift in work schedules, taking into account the specifics of the nuclear industry and to facilitate the preparation of reports. In this paper, we analyzed the factors that affect the time and cost of building a nuclear power plant, studied the basic concepts of agent-based modeling and software used to create models and implement processes using agent-based modeling, and made an attempt to apply this concept to one of the real production processes.
