The paper considers the leading way of foundry production development connected with wide application of engineering analysis systems for theoretical study of foundry processes. The procedure of carrying out the computer experiment in the “Polygon” system is considered in detail and the conclusions about the efficient way of steel casting “valve box” production are made up.
